The response of the people of Shropshire has yet again been overwhelming in the wake of the on going situation in Ukraine. 
Ukrainian nationals have started to arrive in Shropshire with many more expected as more hosts and guests are matched.


The support Hub in the Riverside shopping centre is now open....








The Hub is a multi use facility. A therapy room will have a diverse timetable of activities, a chill out room with a games console, a room for ESOL lessons and a space to make food and friends.
Manned by volunteers who are on hand to offer a warm welcome, refreshments, a safe space and signposting to information.

SIM cards are available for guests from the Hub.
We have dedicated WhatsApp groups set up for hosts and guests to network and share information, please contact us if you would like to be added to the groups.

The Hub will be open Monday - Friday 11am - 4pm.

Units 20-22, Riverside Shopping Centre, Shrewsbury. SY1 1PJ

Parking is available either in Frankwell carpark and the multi storey.

From the hub guests will be able to access our vast donations unit to collect clothes, toys, toiletries and furniture that has kindly been donated.


The hub is open to refugees, migrants and marginalised people wherever they are from.

Information for hosts from Shropshire Council:
Payment for guests and hosts:

  • If you are a host and your guests have arrived in Shropshire please notify Shropshire Council using this online form – Homes for Ukraine Details (office.com).

  • The information requested in this online form will be used for both the £200 emergency payment for guests and also for the monthly £350 payment to hosts.

  • Please note that the team are very busy and are processing payments daily so please be patient and you will be updated as to when your payment(s) will be made.

 

DBS check:

  • If you have a query regarding your DBS check please contact @HomesforUkraine

  • Please note we are following guidance regarding DBS checks and the information requested is mandated to us not a choice.

 

Property Inspection:

  • If you have a query regarding your property inspection or a receipt for a gas safety check please contact @housing.enforcement
